Resident Salary & Benefits

The annual salaries effectiveJuly 1, 2012 for post-graduate clinical trainees at UCSF are:

PGY-2: $52,004

PGY-3: $54,050

PGY-4: $56,356

PGY-5: $58,679

Resident salaries are reviewed annually in October for a cost of living increase.

    Residents receive a monthly housing supplement.

    Educational Allowance

    To help cover education-related expenses, each resident is given an allowance of $2,000 by the department to use over the course of their four years of training.
