Professional Focus

Dr. Millender's research interests focus on the optimization of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) for the treatment of head and neck cancer. She is particularly interested in the potential damage to normal tissues produced by IMRT and strategies for limiting these off-target toxicities. Her research is directed at defining the specific relationships between treatment volume, efficacy, and normal tissue damage.
