New Physics Faculty Member, Joey Cheung, PhD

Dr. Joey Cheung joins us as Clinical Instructor in the Division of Medical Physics. He received his PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences where he focused on adaptive proton therapy and proton dose verification. His clinical duties involve external beam radiation therapy including stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), ocular proton therapy, and HDR brachytherapy. His research interests are in proton radiation therapy, specifically in adaptive processes to monitor and correct for patient anatomical changes over the course of treatment through the use of image-guidance techniques.
