The UCSF Department of Radiation Oncology will hold its annual course April 20-22, 2018 at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco. The theme of this year's course is PROGNOSIS AND PREDICTION. OVERVIEW: There is a growing collection of tools related to prognosis and prediction across the domains of radiation oncology practice. In the context of competing clinical, radiographic, biologic, genetic, and computational evaluations, the challenge is how to integrate these into meaningful decision making for an individual patient. In addition, other major trends affecting contemporary radiation oncology practice include the emergence of value-based care, safety culture, and implementation of the new 2018 staging system.
