Abstract Submission
The abstract submission will be accepted until January 28th, 2008.
(Notification will be sent by February 20th, 2008)
The abstract should be submitted in PDF format and e-mailed to abstracts@epi2k8.org
Abstract Categories
We are soliciting abstracts in the following categories:
- Positioning with EPID
- Dosimetric properties and applications of EPID
- New developments with CT on board
- Clinical applications with CT on board
- New technologies for patient positioning
- Image quality, performance evaluation and system QA
Abstract format and guidelines
The text must be written in English using an Arial font size 12, with a 2.5 cm margin (one inch) on all sides. The abstract must be limited to 2 pages and start by the following items:
- Title (use all caps, font size 14, and bold)
- List of authors
- Affiliation
We suggest to write the core of the text using the following subsection headings:
- Introduction
- Methods and Materials
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusions
- Acknowledgment and conflict of interest
However, you may modify the headings to fit your special needs.
Figures, images, graphs, tables, equations, bullets, etc. are encouraged as long as they are included in the 2 page abstract. The PDF file size MUST NOT exceed 2 MBytes.
If accepted for oral or poster presentation, the 2-page abstract will be published as is in the proceeding book. No modification to the text will be possible after the abstract has been submitted.
Young Investigator Travel Awards
There will be a number of travel awards available.
The awards are open to students, postodoctoral fellows and Residents presenting work at the meeting and are intended to reduce the cost of attending. Therefore, the awards will take the form of a waiver of the registration fee as well as two complementary hotel nights at the St-Regis Hotel.
A letter (PDF) from the supervisor indicating the training status of the person must be submitted with the abstract (within the same e-mail).
The International Scientific Committee will decide which abstracts will receive travel awards.
