Meet Dr. Chen

Each patient has a unique story to tell, and I am privileged to be entrusted with guiding them through their medical journey.

Dr. Victor Chen is a general radiation oncologist who treats patients with all types of cancers. He has a particular interest in malignancies of the prostate, breast, lung, and central nervous system. Dr. Chen received his undergraduate degree in biology from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and his medical degree from UC San Diego as part of the Caltech-UCSD Medical Scholars Program. He subsequently completed his internship in general surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and his residency in radiation oncology at Thomas Jefferson University. Concurrently during his time in residency training, he also obtained a masters in public health at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Chen’s research interests focus on the intersection of public health and cancer treatment, such as in the areas of health disparities and cost-effectiveness. He primarily treats patients at the UCSF-Washington Hospital Radiation Oncology Center in Fremont, CA.
