• Adam Cunha is elected AAPM Fellow (4/22/2024)
• Mike Lometti is the recipient of 2024 UCSF Radiation Oncology Physics Educational Award (4/24/2024)
• The Cardiac SBRT Team has been selected as a winner of the PIPE-sponsored Interprofessional Collaboration Award for 2024! The Team is led by Dr. Lisa Singer with physics support from Hui Lin and Emily Hirata. (4/11/2024)
• Qihui Lyu and Hui Lin started as the core members of Joint UC Berkeley and UCSF BioEngineering graduate program (4/8/2024).
• Hui Lin was awarded the Cancer Center Seed Award for her proposal entitled “Building a Multimodal Vision-Language Model for Precise Spatial-Temporal Prediction of Glioblastoma” (4/8/2024)
• Olivier Morin has started as a voting member on the AAPM Data Science Committee (3/19/2024)
• Dante Capaldi’ Radiology CTI paper on free-breathing proton MRI ventilation was editorialized. A podcast is ensued. (3/5/2024)
• Dante Capaldi started as a voting member on the AAPM Joint Working Group for Research Seed Funding Initiative (3/5/2025)
• Work by Dante Capaldi, Tomi Nano, Emily Hirata, et al has made it onto the cover of the March-April 2024 issue of Practical Radiation Oncology (3/6/2024) 
• Olivier Morin has started as a voting member on the AAPM Science Council (1/30/2024)
• Hui Lin presented “Investigating the Aggregation Methods of Contextualized Transformer Embeddings of Long Electronic Health Record Notes for Glioma Overall Survival Prediction” at the 2023 AAPM Science Council Session (7/25/2023).
• Jessica Scholey was selected to become an Associate in the AAPM Science Council Associates Mentorship Program (5/26/2023)
• Dante Capaldi and Tomi Nano received UCSF Spring 2023 RAP funding for project entitled “Smartphone-Based Surface Guidance in Radiation Therapy as an Emerging Paradigm in Personalized Cancer Care” as co-PIs (5/26/2023)
• The joint UCSF-UC Berkely Nuclear Engineering Graduate Certificate Program has been granted initial accreditation from CAMPEP until 6/30/26. The CAMPEP program director is Adam Cunha. (5/2/2023)
• Katelyn Hasse is accepted to the UCSF Teaching Scholars Program for 2023-2024 (04/28/2023)
• Qihui Lyu and José Ramos-Mendez have accepted our offer to join UCSF Radiation Oncology Physics as Assistant Professor In-residence starting July 2023. 

• Olivier Morin was promoted to Full Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology (03/2023).

• Bruce Faddegon is named an author of a top-cited 2021-2022 Medical Physics paper entitled “Report on G4-Med, a Geant4 benchmarking system for medical physics applications developed by the Geant4 Medical Simulation Benchmarking Group”
• Gilmer Valdes co-authored a high impact paper that was selected as one of the Innovative & Transformative Studies of 2022 by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation https://www.evidenceforaction.org/blog-posts/innovative-transformative-studies-2022
• Emily Hirata and Wensha Yang elected 2023 AAPM Fellows 
• Hui Lin received Uncle Kory Foundation seed grant, Developing Multimodal Deep Learning for Outcome Prediction in Glioblastoma Patients After Radiation Therapy
• Tomi Nano and Dante Capaldi received Winship Invest Pilot Grant as co-investigators (01/2023). 
• Manju Sharma received a pilot award from the Mount Zion Health Fund’s (MZHF) to develop “Cone Beam CT Image Analysis to Predict Head and Neck Radiotherapy Toxicities for Adaptive Radiotherapy”
• Hui Lin and Olivier Morin received DOD award DOD W81XWH-22-1-0695 Integrating Metabolic and Physiologic MRI for Personalized Glioblastoma Radiotherapy Planning as co-I (PI: Janine Lupo)
• Chris Diederich is the recipient of the ESHO-Pyrexar Award in recognition of outstanding contributions to the field of hyperthermia, given by the European Society of Hyperthermic Oncology, 34th Annual Meeting, September 14-17 2022 Gothenburg, Sweden
• Manju Sharma was guest of Honor on the last invited visit to India – as a part of global efforts.
