Dr. Mack Roach, MD, FASTRO, to be Presented ASTRO Gold Medal Award
The UCSF Department of Radiation Oncology is pleased to announce that our own Dr. Mack Roach, MD, FASTRO, has been named a winner the ASTRO Gold Medal Award. In the official award announcement, ASTRO noted that the Gold Medal is the organization’s “highest honor and is bestowed on revered members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of radiation oncology.” We are incredibly proud of Dr. Roach for receiving this esteemed award which reflects his many contributions to research, clinical care, teaching, and service. Dr. Roach will be honored alongside the other 2024 Gold Medal Award recipients during the Awards Ceremony on October 1st, 2024, at ASTRO’s 66th Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.
