Radiation Oncology’s Berkeley Outpatient Center location officially opened for new patient consultations on November 19, 2024 and treatments began on December 10th. This location is a partnership with John Muir Health (JMH) that provides East Bay cancer patients with access to our top-rated radiation oncology program, closer to home. JMH physicians, Drs. Christine Chung (Medical Site Director), Sravi Chennupati, Sophia Rahman, and Jamie Rembert practice out of this site that is staffed by a small but mighty team of new and familiar UCSF Radiation Oncology faces:

-Amy Miniello – Chief RTT
-Troy Buckmeier – Nurse Manager
-Lindsay Williams – Administrative Director
-Evan Porter & Sherry Liu – Medical Physicists
-Ashley Dobbins Berryman & Jayzaah Mullins – Practice Coordinators
-Susan Lee – Authorizations Coordinator
-Rachel Cassan & Brian Von – Medical Assistants
-James Jimenez, Jane Wakayama & Diane Lennon – RTTs
-Chrystal Wilson & Christie Groth – RNs

At BOPC, radiation is delivered with a state-of-the-art Halcyon, which has the ability to treat faster than a traditional linac, thus providing an opportunity for a higher throughput of patients. As the site’s volume continues to ramp up, additional staff support is being provided by Cancer Center Medical Assistant Supervisor, Eddie Navarro and Radiation Oncology Lead Practice Coordinator, Misty Reyes. Varian Consultants and Eclipse Trainers will also continue to offer education and assistance at future visits.
